Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Dan Evans Head to Head

They’ve played twice and it’s 1-1.

Auger keeps winning

Félix Auger-Aliassime had a comfortable week in Florence winning the trophy there and he went on to win in Antwerp. The Canadian started his first match in Belgium well by beating Manuel Guinard in straight sets and he now faces Dan Evans.

In theory, it’s a very tricky game because Auger can play games with his mistakes. He’s gotten a lot better with them lately, so I think he’ll know how to handle this game even against a defensive powerhouse like Evans.

They played earlier this year in Australia and Auger won comfortably.

The conditions are a little different, but if his serve is working and the groundstrokes are good enough, I see no reason he shouldn’t extend his winning streak by another game.

Two great victories for Evans

Dan Evans has played two games so far in Antwerp and he has won both games comfortably. No set lost with incredible play to prepare for this quarter-final against a better player than him but also a player he has beaten once in the past.

Evans plays a very interesting style with all kinds of tricks and he can play well inside. He has a variety of volleys and slices that can do a lot of damage in combination with his serve. He lacks power so he can be overpowered by better hitters like Auger.

It’s hard to predict what he can really do as the match will largely be played on Auger’s racquet. If the Canadian brings his best tennis, there is very little Evans can do.

Holding his serve will be extremely important as he won’t have many opportunities to break.

Auger-Aliassime v Evans Prediction and Tip

Although it is very interesting on paper, I do not think it will be on the ground. I see it’s a pretty simple two-part affair.
