Elvis Presley’s Last Moments Before His Death Preserved at Graceland

Elvis Presley’s Graceland still shows the late rock and roll king’s mansion as he left it the day he died.

Fans can surely remember how Presley breathed his last at Graceland. Although the mansion may attract tourists who wish to see the late singer’s home before his death, it is off limits to the public.

Although Presley passed away decades ago, his private space at Graceland remains intact and perfectly preserved thanks to the request of his daughter, Lisa Marie.

In a recent Instagram Q&A with director of the archives Angie Marchese (via Express), his job over the past few years was to maintain Presley’s bedroom and other rooms as he left them when he died. .

“So the only thing about Graceland and its mystique is the upstairs and the fact that it was Elvis’ private space. So no one is allowed upstairs,” a- she declared.

The archivist added that all of Graceland feels like the singer just got up and went somewhere else.

Marchese added that they were going upstairs to maintain the space. She also revealed that the record on the record player is still there, along with a Styrofoam cup on a shelf.

The record player in question contains songs by JD Sumner and the Stamps. Sunmer ended up singing at Presley’s funeral.

Elvis Presley’s Last Moments Revisited

August 16, 1977 at 1:30 p.m. at his Memphis mansion. Doctors said he died of a heart attack likely aggravated by his addiction to prescription barbiturates.

A day before his death, Presley and his fiancee Ginger Alden visited his dentist, Lester Hoffman, due to persistent dental pain. Upon returning to Graceland, he called his personal physician, Dr. Nichopoulos, to request painkillers.

He was then prescribed six Dilaudid pills and asked his half-brother, Ricky Standly, to get them from the pharmacy at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He took it all after he got it.

In the early hours of the day he died, he was playing racquetball on his home court with his cousin Billy and his wife, Jo.

Since Presley was still unable to sleep after playing a game, he took the prescription drugs Dr. Nick had given him. At 7 a.m., he took the second pack of pills as he desperately wanted to sleep before his concert in Portland, Maine.

He eventually took three separate packs of pills and painkillers. He told Ginger he was going to the bathroom because he was suffering from extreme constipation. But hours later, Presley was found dead on the bathroom floor.
