EPEC tournament

The Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center is hosting a golf tournament on July 23 at Cress Creek Golf Club.

All proceeds will go to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and human trafficking.

It will be a race of the captain’s choice.

There will be prizes for the top two teams. Breakfast and lunch, as well as drinks on the course will be provided.

The cost is $ 100 or $ 375 for teams of four.

Sponsorships are available ranging from $ 100 to $ 1,000.

Registrations take place at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Parks and recreation camps

Martinsburg / Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is sponsoring soccer camps this summer under the direction of Jason Howe.

The cost is $ 50 per child / per camp

The camps will feature skills, drills, basics and small-scale games. Shin guards and crampons are mandatory. Please bring a bottle of water. Pre-registration is required. The size of the camp is limited to the first 24 registered in each camp.

These four-day football camps take place at the DuPont Soccer Complex, located near DuPont Road, Martinsburg.

Fall Youth Leagues

Registration for the next fall 2021 soccer season is now open. The league is open to children aged 6 to 14. The fee is $ 65 for residents of Berkeley County and $ 75 for non-residents. A rebate of $ 5 for siblings is given for the second sibling and subsequent siblings.

The registration deadline is August 17 and online registration will be open until 11:59 p.m. that day.

Zumba class

Summer 2021 Zumba registration is now for Martinsburg / Berkeley County parks and registrations.

Twenty-two courses cost $ 42.

Classes will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings at Berkeley 2000, Recreation Center, 273 Woodbury Ave., Martinsburg.

There are two sessions, one indoor and one outdoor.

13-17 year olds must register with an adult.

A session from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will be held in the large dance hall of the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center.

The outdoor session will take place from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in the side parking lot of the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center.

Coaching course

West Virginia High School Coaching Classes will take place over three different weekends in July and August at Spring Mills High School.

Participants must attend both weekend sessions.

July 17 will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On August 13, it will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on August 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Classes will take place at the library. Parking is in the north lot, next to the stadium.

Interested persons should apply online at WVSSAC.org. Walk-ins are not allowed.

Yoga classes

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for yoga.

This course takes place all year round and takes place from 9.45 am to 10.45 am on Wednesdays.

Pre-registration is required. The cost is $ 32 per person per month.

Silver sneakers

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for Silver Sneakers for ages 55 and over.

This class is covered by certain insurances.

Classes take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The fee for those whose insurance does not cover the cost is $ 20 per month for two days per week, or $ 30 per month for three days per week.

Adventure camps

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is registering for upcoming summer adventure day camps.

There are two places to choose from, the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center in Martinsburg and the W. Randy Smith Recreation Center in Inwood.

These camps are for children who were 5 years old on September 1, 2020 and were not over 12 years old on the first day of camp.

The camps will take place every week, all summer. The registration fee is $ 120 per child / per week. (There is a $ 5 discount for siblings and a discount for children attending multiple weeks.)

Camps run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with before and after care offered at an additional cost. It starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.

Sainte-Marie-Goretti Camps

St. Maria Goretti will host three basketball camps for players ages 8 to 14.

The next camp will take place from August 9 to 12.

The sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cost is $ 165.
